The social experience Elin has gained through music performance has left her incredibly passionate about music education and the sustenance of music for youth and future generations. For this reason, Elin is committed to leading innovative and inspiring workshops to a range of participants. Alongside her University studies, Elin with the Claret String Quartet voluntarily performed at schools in Brussels and for Cardiff-based charity 'Making Music Changing Lives', and led a series of music composition workshops at primary schools. In Summer 2019 she also held a series of music composition workshops for the National Trust at Penrhyn Castle. These were open to entire families of all ages, promoting creativity and team work.
Elin is a music leader for the accredited 'Camau Cerdd - Steps in Music' lessons provided by the William Mathias Music Centre in Galeri, Caernarfon and Denbighshire. Camau Cerdd provides specialised music lessons for babies and young children in an explorative and fun environment, introducing the basic concept of pitch, rhythm and structure in an approachable manner.
Employed by the Gwynedd and Môn Music School's Service since 2014, Elin teaches strings across Gwynedd, experienced in tutoring and leading rehearsals, with full DBS, Child protection in schools and first aid certificates.
